International Students' Conference
This conference is for Highschool students only.
About our conference
The International Students’ Conference 2021, for Highschool students from all around the world, is going to be the fourth ISC. It’s a biannual event traditionally held at Goetheanum, organized by young (former) Waldorf students, the Youth Section, and WaldorfSV.
The topic for #ISC21 is TRUST. During the five-day conference, we will listen to four keynote talks by international speakers.
Workshops, Conversation groups
In the #ISC21 workshop you’ll do things, which you always wanted to try. Whether in a discussion, with art or sport; you’ll find the workshop which fits you the best!
In our conversation groups we want to put focus on our keynotes and discuss them.

Goetheanum

The #ISC21 conference will take place in the Goetheanum and the Waldorf school in Aesch.
The Goetheanum is a center of a worldwide network of anthroposophists. It is the seat of the School of Spiritual Science and the General Anthroposophical Society, which serves as a place of exchange for those with spiritual questions, and a place for training in scientific and artistic fields.
Situated in the Jura landscape, 10 Kilometers South of Basel, the Goetheanum sits grandly on the Dornach hill, with its expressive architecture and picturesque garden park.
The Waldorf school of Aesch is located 2.5 kilometers south of the Goetheanum. The 1977 school will be the night quarters for all of the participants.

Books Not Guns: Building Trust and Peace through Education
With each passing day, the world seems to become more divisive. Extreme ideologies are gaining more prominence in many countries. Conflict and war continue to destroy the lives of millions of people. Social media has become a polarizing force used by individuals and groups to pursue their own interests. At the same time, young people are coming of age in a time of global crisis amid a pandemic, economic recession, and climate change.
